BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and
partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at (18:30) MST today, the
tropical depression over the Gulf of Thailand, it’s centered at (220) miles northeast of
Phuket,Thailand and is moving northwest slowly. It is forecast to cross the Thailand
Coast near Surat Thani and reach to Andaman Sea within next (24)hrs.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 7th NOVEMBER, 2017: Rain or
thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Shan, Kayah, Kayin
and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (60%). Weather will be generally fair in Upper
Sagaing Region, Kachin and Chin States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions
and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Easterly winds with moderate to rough seas are likely at times
off and along Mon - Taninthayi Coasts. Surface winds speed in easterly winds may
reach (30-35)m.p.h. Seas will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.
Wave height will be about (6 - 9) feet in off and along Mon - Taninthayi Coasts and
(3-5)feet elsewhere in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of rain or thundershowers
in Taninthayi Region and Mon State.
