SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past
(24)hours, rain or thundershowers has been widespread in Lower Sagiang and
Mandalay Regions, Shan (North and East) and Kayah States, fairly widespread in
Magway Region, Kachin and Southern Shan States, scattered in Bago, Yangon and
Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine State and isolated in Naypyitaw and Chin State with
regionally heavy falls in Mandalay Region and Northern Shan State and isolated
heavy falls in Lower Sagaing Region. Weather has been partly cloudy in the
remaining Regions and States.Night temperatures were (2°C) above November
average temperatures in Yangon Region, Kachin and Kayin States,(3°C) to (4°C)
above November average temperatures in Sagaing, Magway and Bago Regions,
Shan (North and East), Chin, Rakhine and Mon States and (5°C) above November
temperatures in Mandalay Region, Southern Shan and Kayah States and about
November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The
significant night temperature was (10°C) in Putao. The noteworthy amount of
rainfall recorded were Lashio (3.78)inches, Kunlong (3.11)inches,Tharrawady
(2.95)inches, Moekok (2.80)inches, Hainggyigyun (2.56)inches, Madaya (2.17)
inches, Myitsone (2.12)inches, Singaing (2.09)inches and Pyinoolwin (2.05)
inches.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30)hrs M.S.T today,
the low pressure area over the Southeast Bay and adjoining Eastcentral
Bay of Bengal still persists over the Southwest Bay of Bengal. Weather
is partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Bay and partly cloudy over the
Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25thNOVEMBER, 2017:
Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Shan (North and East)
State, scattered in Nyapyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon
and Ayeyarwady Regions, Southern Shan, Rakhine and Kayah States and
isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainly is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at
times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface winds speed in squalls may
reach (30-35)m.p.h.Wave height will be about (6 - 8)feet in Myanmar coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood continuation of
scattered rain or thundershowers in Shan State.
