SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain have been isolated in Yangon Region and Eastern Shan State, weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kayah and Mon States, partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below January average temperature in Rakhine State, (5°C) to (6°C) above January average temperatures in Southern Shan and Kayah States, (4°C) above January average temperatures in Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States and (2°C) above January average temperatures in Kachin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (2°C) in Hakha, (5°C) in Mogoke and (6°C) in Tiddim. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded was Hmawbi (0.04)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few clouds elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 15th JANUARY, 2018: Light rain are likely to be isolated in Upper Sagaing, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin and Shan States. Degree of certainly is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 7) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
