SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been generally fair in Lower Sagaing, Magway and Bago Regions and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) below January average temperature in Taninthayi Region, (2°C) below January average temperature in Chin State, (5°C) above January average temperature in Southern Shan State, (3°C) to (4°C) above January average temperatures in Bago Region, Eastern Shan, Kayah and Mon States and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (0°C) in Hakha, (5°C) in Tiddim, (6°C) each in Heho and Matupi, (7°C) each in Putao, Kyaukmae, Pyinoolwin and Mogoke.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Bay and Westcentral Bay and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th JANUARY, 2018: Rain are likely to be isolated in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
