SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Northern Shan State, fairly widespred in Chin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kahin, Eastern Shan States and isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (7°C) above March average temperatures in Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States, (5°C) to (6°C) above March average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Yangon and Ayeyawady Regions, (3°C) to (4°C) above March average temperatures in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Southern Shan, Kayah States and (2°C) above March average temperatures in Eastern Shan, Rakhine States and (2°C) below March average temperature in Upper Sagaing Region and (4°C) below March average temperature in Kachin State and about March average temperatures in the remaing Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (42°C) each in Bawlakhae and Hpasaung and (41°C) each in Magway, Aunglan, Sinbyugyun and Pyay. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (0.25) inch in Lashio, (0.20) inch each in Thipaw, Moemate and (0.12) inch each in Kunlong and Mogoke.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 30th March, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan, Chin States and isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin States.
