BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (05:30)hrs MST today, the Typhoon “Mawar” over Philippines Sea to move Northwestwards and it is forecast slowly continue to move Northwestwards .
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 29th May, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, Kayin, Mon States, scattered in Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Southern and Eastern ) Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing over the Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35)mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast and (5-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
