SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain has been fairly widespread in Kachin State, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, (Northern and Eastern)Shan, Rakhine and Mon  States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below February average temperature in Yangon Region, (3°C) above February average temperature in Eastern Shan State, (2°C) above February average temperature in Kachin State and about February average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (2°C) in Namsam, (3°C) each in Heho and Loilin, (4°C) in Hakha and (5°C) in Thipaw. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Machanbaw (0.16)inch and Putao (0.04)inch.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and generally fair elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 5th FEBRUARY, 2018: Rain will be fairly widespread in Kachin State. Degree of certainly is (80%). Weather will be a few coulds in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA:  Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (2 - 6) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of continuation of rain in Kachin State.
