BAY INFERENCE:Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate to strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 21st September 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Magway, Bago Regions and Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin ,Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) mph. Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast and (4-6) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast.
