SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions and Chin State, isolated in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Northern Shan and Mon States, weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) above February average temperatures in Northern Shan and Mon States, (2°C) above February average temperatures in Magway Region and Kayin State and about February average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (5°C) in Hakha, (6°C) each in Pinlaung and Heho, (7°C) each in Loilin and Tiddim. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Myiek (2.17)inches, Yay (0.47)inch, Putao and Homalin (0.35)inch each, Dawei (0.28)inch and Machanbaw (0.24)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few clouds elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
THE 28th FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF FEBRUARY, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin State, isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Shan, Chin, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (2 - 5) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region and Mon State.
