SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain have been scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing Region, weather has been partly cloudy in Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Kayin States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (2°C) above March average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Kayah State and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (40°C) in Chauk and (39°C) in Aunglan. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Machanbaw (0.51)inch and Putao (0.47)inch.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and generally fair elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 5th MARCH, 2018: Rain will be scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing Region. Degree of certainly is (80%). Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine and Kayah States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
