SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) below January average temperature in Northern Shan State, (2°C) below January average temperatures in Mandalay Region and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Chin States and about January average temperatures in the remaing Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (-1°C) in Hakha, (2°C) each in Kyaukmae, Heho and Pyinoolwin, (4°C) each in Putao, Pinlaung, Loilin, Mongyang, Tiddim and Mogoke and (5°C) each in Thipaw and Lashio.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 14th January 2024: Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of decrease of night temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Shan, Chin States.
