SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Taninthayi Region. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Rakhine State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) above March average temperature in Kachin State and (2°C) above March average temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Northern Shan State and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (41°C) in Chauk and (40°C) each in Taungdwingyi, Pyay and Ngathaichaung. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded was (0.12) inch in Myeik.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 18th March 2024: Light rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Eastern Shan States.
