13-5-2025: Southwest monsoon has advanced into the Southern Myanmar areas, Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay. Weather is partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain have been fairly widespread in Kachin and Southern Shan States, scattered in Mandalay Region, isolated in Upper Sagaing and Bago Regions, (Northern and Eastern) Shan, Chin, Rakhine  and Kayah States, weather has been partly cloudy  in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (2°C) above March average temperature in Taninthayi Region, (5°C) below March average temperatures in Mandalay Region and Kachin State, (3°C) to (4°C) below March average temperatures in Sagaing and Magway Regions, Northern Shan and Chin States, (2°C) below March average temperature in Rakhine State and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (39°C) each in Bawlakhae and Kawkareik. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Putao (0.55)inch, Meiktila and Manchanbaw (0.36)inch each, Kyaukmae (0.24)inch, Tiddim and Hkamti (0.12)inch each.
 
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and generally fair elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19th MARCH, 2018: Rain will be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, isolated in Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions, Shan, Chin and Rakhine States. Degree of certainly is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5)feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight increase of day temperatures in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kayin and Mon States.
