BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Severe Cyclonic Storm “REMAL” has crossed Bangladesh and adjoining West Bengal coasts (India), has  moved North-Northeastwards and weakened into a Cyclonic Storm “REMAL” and continuously  crossed to Bangladesh and adjoining West Bengal coasts between Sagar Island (India) and Khepupara, close to Mongla (Bangladesh).Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong to vigorous over the Eastcentral Bay. Weather is cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 27th May 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region , fairly widespread in Eastern Shan, Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in  Chin,  Rakhine States and isolated heavyfalls in  Sagaing, Magway Regions and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in  Upper Sagaing, Yangon Regions and Kachin,  Chin, Rakhine, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally squall with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 40 mph. Squall with rough  seas are likely  at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35-40) mph.  Wave height will be about (9-13) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (8-10) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of advancement of Southwest monsoon into Central Myanmar Areas.
