29-11-2025:According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Srilanka has moved Northwards. It is centered at about 785 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 135 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry (India) and 80 Nautical miles North-Northwestwards of Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and reach over Southwest Bay of Bengal (near the North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India).Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Southwest Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Upper Sagaing, Magway and Bago Regions, Kachin, Chin and Mon States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (4°C) below April average temperature in Upper Sagaing Region, (2°C) below April average temperatures in Lower Sagaing Region, Northern Shan and Mon States and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (42°C) in Chauk, (41°C) in Bawlakhae and (40°C) each in Myingyan, Nyaungoo, Tharrawady and Hinthada. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Pyay (0.59)inch and Matupi (0.51)inch.  

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the South Bay and West Central Bay and generally fair over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22nd APRIL, 2018: Rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Northern Shan , Chin and Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
