9-1-2026:According to the observations at 12:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved Northwestwards. It is centered at about 835 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco-Island (Myanmar), 155 Nautical miles Southeast of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka) and 385 Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry(Sri Lanka). It is likely to move Northwestwards and may cross North Sri Lanka coast between Trincomalee and Jaffna during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the South Bay and generally fair over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 22nd APRIL, 2018: Rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Northern Shan , Chin and Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
