25-11-2025:According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Strait of Malacca almost stationary still persists. It is centered at about 285 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 55 Nautical miles West-Northwest of Penang(Malaysia), 250 Nautical miles East of Banda Aceh (Indonesia) and  465 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar(India).According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of South Sri Lanka still persists. It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and become Well Marked Lowe  pressure Area during next 24 hours and further intensify into a depression during next 48 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.43 inch in Myeik, 0.24 inch in Kawthaung, 0.20 inch in Kya-In-Seikkyi, 0.16 inch in Kawkareik and 0.12 inch in Dawei.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea, South Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs MST today, the Severe Tropical Storm“TRAMI” that has crossed the middle Vietnam coast near DaNang has moved Southwest and downgraded into a Tropical Storm“TRAMI”. Thereafter, It is forecast likely to return Southeastwards.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 28th October 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Kayin, Mon States, isolated in Upper Sagaing, Yangon Regions and Kachin, (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Kayah States. Degree of certainty is 100%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Fairly widespread to widespread rain or thundershowers with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
