28-11-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DATWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka Coast has moved North- Northwestwards and is crossing near Tricomalee(Srilanka). It is centered at about 805 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 225 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry (India). It is likely continue to move North-Northwestwards and across eastern parts of Sri Lanka Coast and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal and reach over the North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India.  Weather is a generally fair over the North Bay, partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in (Northern and Eastern) Shan State, isolated in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Southern Shan and Kayah States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (5°C) above April average temperature in Kachin State, (2°C) above April average temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and Kayin State and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (44°C) in Chauk, (43°C) in Sinphyugyun,  (42°C) each in  Monywa, Myingyan, Nyaung Oo, Minbu, Magway, Aunglan, Gangaw and Taunggu. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Hmawbi (1.10)inches, Minesat (0.51)inch and Kengtung (0.20)inch.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and partl cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 26th APRIL, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions, Shan and Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
