SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 4°C below January average temperature in Rakhine State, 2°C below January average temperature in Taninthayi Region and 2°C above January average temperatures in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin, Eastern Shan States and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 3.0°C in Heho, 3.4°C in Pyinoolwin, 4.8°C in Loilin, 5.0°C each in Hakha and Pinlaung, 5.6°C in Namsan(Southern Shan), 6.0°C each in Tiddim and Mongyang, 6.5°C in Myitkyina, 7.8°C in Putao, 9.0°C in Nyaungshwe and 9.1°C in Taunggyi.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Bay, a few cloud over the South Andaman Sea, Southeast Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21stJanuary 2025: Weather will be partly cloudy in Yangon, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Yangon, Bago, Magway Regions and Kayah, Shan States.
