SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Shan, Chin and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Rakhine State, scattered in Naypyitaw, isolated in Bago Region and Kachin State and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (7°C) to (8°C) above January average temperatures in (Northern & Southern)Shan State, (5°C) to (6°C) above January average temperature in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Eastern Shan and Kayah States, (3°C) to (4°C) above January average temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Magway, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Chin, Rakhine and Mon States, (2°C) above January average temperatures in Yangon Region and Kayin State and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (7°C)in Hakha, (8°C) each in Putao and Tongzan. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Sittwe (2.04)inches, Kyaukphyu (2.01)inches, Ann (1.49)inches, Myauk-U (1.06)inches, Kyauktaw (0.98)inch, Saw (0.90)inch, Mindat and Myingyan (0.83)inch each, Kengtung and Pakokku (0.79)inch each.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the West central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
