24-11-2025: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Strait of Malacca still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and intensify into a depression over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Andaman Sea. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Naypyitaw and Mandalay Region, fairly widespread in Magway Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Kayin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Shan-Ywar-Thit (3.90)inches, Kyaukpyu (2.28)inches, Lashio and Hkamti (2.16)inches each, Shwekyin and Belin (2.09)inches each, Thipaw (2.04)inches, Gwa (1.97)inches, Putao (1.89)inches, Muse (1.85)inches, Mogaung (1.81)inches, Madauk, Kungyangon and Hainggyigyun (1.73)inches each, Zaung Tu (1.65)inches and Thaton (1.58)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is generally moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 28th JUNE, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Rakhine State. STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Sea will be  moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7 - 9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama and off and along Rakhine Coasts and about (4 - 7) feet in off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
