SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kachin State, scattered in Magway Region, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Northern Shan, Rakhine, Kayah and Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and isolated heavy falls in Chin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Yeu (3.58)inches, Tiddim (3.35)inches, Shwebo (2.91)inches, Tagaung (2.69)inches, Nyaung Oo (2.64)inches, Matupi and Sagaing (2.48)inches each, Myinmu (2.44)inches, Kyaukmae and Kanbalu (2.32)inches each, Mindat and Madaya (2.24)inches each, Mawlamyine and Chaungsone (2.13)inches each and  Htilin (2.05)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 7th JUNE, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway and Bago Regions, Rakhine and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Mon and Kayin States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7 - 10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (4 - 7) feet in off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Heavy rain in Coastal areas.
