28-5-2024:According to the observations at (06:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Deep Depression has crossed to the Northwest of Dhaka(Bangladesh) and moved North-Northeastwards and weaken into a Land Depression. It is forecast to move East-Northeastwards and weaken into a Low Pressure Area during next (6)hrs. Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and strong to vigorous over the Eastcentral and Northeast Bay of Bengal. Weather is cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (18:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal still persists. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 15th JULY, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, (Northern and Eastern) Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Kayin and Mon States, isolated heavy falls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9 - 13)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of increase of rain in the Coastal Areas.
