BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and weather is a few clouds over the North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19th May, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady regions, Rakhine States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainly is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35- 40) m.p.h.  Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar water.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of thundery activities in Deltaic Areas.
