28-11-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka Coast has moved North- Northwestwards and is crossing near Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is centered at about 805 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 225 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry (India). It is likely continue to move North-Northwestwards and across eastern parts of Sri Lanka Coast and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal and reach over the North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India.  Weather is a generally fair over the North Bay, partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area has formed over the South Bangladesh and adjoining North Bay of Bengal. It likely to become more marked and move West-Northwestwards and cross Gangetic West Bengal, North Odisha and Jharkhand, India during next 2 days. Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and moderate to strong over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 26th August 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Northern Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady Region and Rakhine State. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 mph. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet off and along Rakhine Coast. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6-8) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan State.
