1-12-2025: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal, North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts and South Andhra Pradesh coasts almost stationary and it is centered at about 750 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 75 Nautical miles Northeast of Puducherry (India) and 20 Nautical miles Southeast of Chennai(India). It is likely to move nearly Northwards parallel to North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts and South Andhra Pradesh coasts(India) and gradually weaken into a Depression during next 12 hrs. Weather is generally fair over the Andaman Sea, cloudy over the Northwest Bay and Westcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs MST today, the wave over Central and Northwest Myanmar areas has moved slowly West-Northwestwards and  lies over Upper Sagaing, Northern Magway Regions and Chin, Rakhine States . It is likely continue to move slowly West-Northwestwards and may reach over coastal Bangladesh and adjoining Northwest Bay of Benbal during next (36)hrs. Under the influence of the wave, people should be awared the heavy rainfall with strong wind, the natural disasters such as flash flood and landslide in the hilly areas and near small rivers and inland water transport and domestic flight.    

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 12th September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in (Northern and Eastern)Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Chin, Rakhine States and isolated heavyfalls in Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and , Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Rakhine States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 40 mph. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 mph. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Chin, Rakhine States.
