28-11-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka Coast has moved North- Northwestwards and is crossing near Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is centered at about 805 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 225 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry (India). It is likely continue to move North-Northwestwards and across eastern parts of Sri Lanka Coast and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal and reach over the North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India.  Weather is a generally fair over the North Bay, partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at (05:30)hrs MST today, the Low Pressure Cell over the Central Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move Westwards and may further intensify into a Low Pressure Area over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal during next (24)hrs.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 24th September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in  Northern Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in  Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in  Mandalay, Magway,  Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing,  Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin,  Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 9-12 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
