28-11-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka Coast has moved North- Northwestwards and is crossing near Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is centered at about 805 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 225 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry (India). It is likely continue to move North-Northwestwards and across eastern parts of Sri Lanka Coast and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal and reach over the North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India.  Weather is a generally fair over the North Bay, partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and Northern Shan, Chin States. Rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Kachin, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States, scattered in Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 1.22 inches in Myitkyina, 1.18 inches in Chaungsone, 0.91 inch in Machanbaw, 0.82 inch each in Kengtung and Kamamaung, 0.80 inch in Mahlaing, 0.75 inch each in Nyaung Shwe and Thazi(Hlaingtat), 0.62 inch in Yamethin and 0.31 inch each in Bhamo and Meiktila.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Northeast Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 30th September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Eastern Shan States, scattered in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Kayah State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
