28-11-2025:According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the Strait of Malacca has moved Eastwards and downgraded into Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Malaysia. It is likely continue to move Eastwards and gradually weaken during next 12 hours. According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DATWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka Coast has moved Northwestwards and is crossing near Tricomalee(Srilanka). It is centered at about 805 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 240 Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry (India). It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and continue to cross eastern part of Sri Lanka Coast and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal and reached over the North Tamil Nadu and adjoining South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India.Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

 BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the well marked low pressure area over Eastcentral Bay of Bangel has moved northwest still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may intensify into a Depression during next (12) hours and into a Cyclonic storm over Eastcentral Bay around 23-10-2024 and may reach to Northwest Bay of Bengal (off Odisha-West Bengal Coasts, India). Thereafter, it is likely to move northwestwards and intensify into a severe Cyclonic Strom and may cross north Odisha and West Bengal coasts between Puri and Sagar Island in early morning 25-10-2024.Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea, Northeast, Eastcentral and Southwest Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 22nd October 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan States, scattered in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Eastern Shan, Chin States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Taninthayi Region and Southern Shan, Kayin, Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State.
