BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area has formed over Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial India Ocean. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify during next 24 hrs. Thereafter, its likely to reach over Southwest Bay of Bengal off Sri Lanka - Tamil Nadu Coast (India) around 11-12-2024.
Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay, a few cloud to partly cloudy to over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 8th December 2024: Rain will be scattered in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Eastern Shan, Kayin Mon States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be generally fair in Lower Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Rakhine States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated light rain in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
