23-11-2025: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Strait of Malacca still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and further intensify into a depression over the Southeast Bay of Bengal on 24-11-2025. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and  North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Rakhine States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 2°C below January average temperatures in Chin, Rakhine States and 2°C above January average temperatures in Lower Sagaing Region and Eastern Shan State, 3°C above January average temperature in Northern Shan State and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were -1.0°C in Hakha, 3.2°C in Namsan(Southern Shan), 4.0°C in Tiddim, 4.5°C in Nyaung Shwe, 4.6°C in Pyinoolwin, 4.9°C in Loilin, 5.4°C in Heho, 6.0°C in Pinlaung, 7.3°C in Myitkyina and 8.0°C in Mongyang.

BAY INFERENCE:    Weather is ‌a few cloud over the Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 11thJanuary 2025: Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Bago, Magway Regions and Rakhine State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Strong winds with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in strong winds may reach 30-35 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 6-9 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Shan States.
