28-10-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Severe Cyclonic Storm “MONTHA” over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards still persists. It is centered at about 630 Nautical miles West of Coco Island (Myanmar), 210 Nautical miles Northeast of Chennai(India) and 70 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Kakinada (India).Weather is a few cloud over the Northeast Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Bay of Bengal Condition

Two low pressure areas may form over the Bay of  Bengal and one may further intensify into Depressions. Monsoon will be moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Rain Condition and Rainy Days

Rain or thundershowers are likely below normal in Yangon, Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin State and about normal in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Chin, Mon, Rakhine and Shan States.

Rainy days will be expected about (23) to (29) days in Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwaddy, Tanintharyi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Southern Shan States, about (15) to (22) days in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Regions and Kayah, Northern and Eastern Shan States and about (8) to (14) days in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions.
