SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region and Kayah State, scattered in Rakhine, Eastern Shan States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Magway, Sagaing Regions and Kachin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 4.02 inches in Mawlaik, 3.23 inches in Putao, 2.52 inches in Kanbalu, 2.40 inches in Phaungbyin, 2.05 inches in Pinlaung, 1.73 inches in Gangaw, 1.69 inches in Homalin, 1.65 inches each in Dawei and Machanbaw and 1.38 inches each in Heho and Kyonepyaw.

BAYINFERENCE:  According to the observations at 12:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Westcentral and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal (off North Andhra Pradesh and South Odisha coasts, India) still persists. It is likely to move west-northwestwards and further intensify into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area during next 24 hrs. Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 14th August 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Lower Sagaing Regions and Rakhine State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Eastern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon, (Southern and Easthern Shan States.
