2-9-2025: According to the observations at 17:30 hrs M.S.T today, the Low Pressure Area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely  to further intensify during next 24 hours. Thereafter, it  is likely  to move  west-northwestwards and cross Odisha, India, during next 48 hours. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

BAYINFERENCE:  According to the observations at 15:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Westcentral and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal (off North Andhra Pradesh and South Odisha coasts, India) still persists. It is likely to move west-northwestwards and further intensify into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area during next 24 hrs. Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 14th August 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Lower Sagaing Regions and Rakhine State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Region and Kachin, Kachin, Rakhine, Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon, (Southern and Easthern Shan States.
