BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 21st August 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Mandalay Region, scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Kayah, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Chin, Rakhine, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Kachin State. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

 

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Shan States.
