Low Pressre Cell Condition

According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Tropical Depression over the border regions of Laos and Thailand has downgraded into a Low Pressre Cell and has crossed over Northern Thailand.

Next 12 hours forecast

It is likely continue to move westwards and downgrade into a wind wave during next 12 hrs and it is likely continue to move over Shan State, Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Myanmar.

Due to the Low Pressre Cell rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread to widespread in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States with regionally heavyfalls and isolated heavyfalls in some Regions and States from today morning to 29-8-2025. Occasionally squalls with rough seas will be experience off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 10-12 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

People should be awared the natural disasters such as the heavy rainfall with strong wind, thunder, Lightning strike, lightning, hails, flash flood and landslide in the hilly areas and near small rivers and to make necessary preparations for inland water transport, domestic flight and irrigation dams.
