SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Southern Shan State and isolated in Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 2°C above November average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States, 3°C to 4°C above November average temperatures in Magway Region and Southern Shan State, 5°C above November average temperature in Rakhine State and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 7.2°C in Hakha, 7.4°C in Tiddim, 11.6°C in Loilin, 12.4°C in Homalin, 12.5°C each in Putao and Machanbaw, 12.9°C in Taunggyi, 13.4°C in Pinlaung and 14.0°C in Mingin. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.55 inch in Hinthada and 0.04 inch in Taunggyi.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22nd November 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Ayeyarwady Region and Kachin, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be generally fair in Chin, Rakhine States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Taninthayi Region. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 30 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Rakhine Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin, Shan States.
