27-11-2025:According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “SENYAR” over Northeast of Indonesia and adjoining the Strait of Malacca has moved East-Southeast and downgraded into a Deep Depression. It is centered at about 380 Nautical miles South of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 120 Nautical miles South-Southwest of Penang(Malaysia), 150 Nautical miles Southeast of Kuta Makmur(Indonesia) and  495 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar (India). It is likely continue to move Eastwards and weaken into a depression during next 12 hours. According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka Coast has moved North-Northwest and intensified into a Deep Depression.  It is centered at about 800 Nautical miles South-Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 150 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Tricomalee(Srilanka), 370 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry(India). It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and further intensify into a Cyclonic Storm during next 12 hours. Thereafter, it is likely continue to move North-Northwestwards and towards North Tamil Nadu and adjoining South Andhra Pradesh coasts. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing Region. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Bago Region and Chin, Rakhine, Northern Shan States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 2°C below November average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and Kayah State, 3°C above November average temperature in Kachin State, 5°C above November average temperature in Rakhine State and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 4.0°C in Hakha, 6.0°C in Loilin, 7.0°C in Namsan(Southern Shan), 9.0°C in Heho, 11.0°C in Mongyang, 11.4°C each in Loikaw and Pinlaung, 11.6°C in Taunggyi, 12.0°C in Lashio and 12.3°C in Putao. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.24 inch in Myitkyina, 0.20 inch in Phaungpyin and 0.08 inch in Hkamti.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Bay, a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 23rd November 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin State and  isolated in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Chin, Rakhine, Northern Shan States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.  

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 30 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Rakhine Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Chin, Shan States.
