Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” Condition
According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka Coast has moved North-Northwest and intensified into a Cyclonic Storm“DITWAH”. It is centered at about 800 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 110 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Trincomalee(Srilanka), 330 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry (India).
It does not intend to move towards Myanmar coasts at the present stage and therefore the Deep Depression is coded as yellow stage.

The Cyclonic Storm “DATWAH” is located at Latitude 6.9 degree North and Longitude 81.9 degree East, centre pressure of Depression is 998 hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is 45 miles per hour at 15:30 hrs MST today.
Next 60 hours forecast
It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and crossed eastern part of Sri Lanka Coast and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal and reached over the North Tamil Nadu and adjoining South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India.

People should be awared due to the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” domestic aviation, near-shore and offshore fishing vessels, and ships Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi coast and offshore are also advised to take precautions.
