27-11-2025:According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “SENYAR” over Northeast of Indonesia and adjoining the Strait of Malacca has moved East-Southeast and downgraded into a Deep Depression. It is centered at about 380 Nautical miles South of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 120 Nautical miles South-Southwest of Penang(Malaysia), 150 Nautical miles Southeast of Kuta Makmur(Indonesia) and  495 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar (India). It is likely continue to move Eastwards and weaken into a depression during next 12 hours. According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka Coast has moved North-Northwest and intensified into a Deep Depression.  It is centered at about 800 Nautical miles South-Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 150 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Tricomalee(Srilanka), 370 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry(India). It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and further intensify into a Cyclonic Storm during next 12 hours. Thereafter, it is likely continue to move North-Northwestwards and towards North Tamil Nadu and adjoining South Andhra Pradesh coasts. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Naypyitaw and isolated heavy falls in Kachin and Kayin States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Myitkyina (3.15)inches, Hpa-an (3.03)inches, Thaton (2.59)inches, Thandwe (2.48)inches, Hkamti (2.41)inches, Taunggu (2.32)inches, Naypyitaw (Ottarathiri) (2.21)inches, Phyu (2.12)inches, Mogaung (1.97)inches, Namsam (1.85)inches, Belin (1.81)inches, Naypyitaw (Pobbathiri) (1.77)inches, Kamamaung (1.71)inches, Kyaukphyu, Madauk and Kawkareik (1.70)inches each.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 23rd JUNE, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Mandalay Region, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Naypyitaw, isolated heavy falls in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States. STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Sea will be  slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7 - 10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama and off and along Rakhine Coasts and about (4 - 7) feet in off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
