25-11-2025:According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Strait of Malacca almost stationary still persists. It is centered at about 285 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 55 Nautical miles West-Northwest of Penang(Malaysia), 250 Nautical miles East of Banda Aceh (Indonesia) and  465 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar(India).According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of South Sri Lanka still persists. It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and become Well Marked Lowe  pressure Area during next 24 hours and further intensify into a depression during next 48 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing Region and Eastern Shan State, scattered in Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Naypyitaw and Rakhine State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Kyaukpyu (5.79)inches, Myauk U (3.50) inches, Kawkareik (2.95)inches, Kungyangon (2.56)inches, Gwa and Theinzayet (2.44)inches each, Belin (2.36)inches, Thaton (2.29)inches, Taungkok (2.24)inches, Maubin (2.20)inches, Mogaung and Northern Dagon (2.17)inches each, Naypyitaw(Ottarathiri) and Mawlamyine (2.13)inches each.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 24th JUNE, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, fairly widespread in (Northern and Eastern)Shan and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Rakhine State and isolated heavy falls in Kachin State.
