1-12-2025: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts has moved Northwards weaken into a Deep Depression and it is centered at about 750 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 55 Nautical miles Northeast of Puducherry (India) and 40 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Channei. It is likely to move nearly Northwards parallel to North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts(India) and may weak into Depression during next 12 hrs. Weather is generally fair in the Andaman Sea, cloudy in Westcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 6th JULY, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, scattered in Shan State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Magway Regions, Kachin, Chin and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States, isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Magway ,Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35- 40)m.p.h. Sea will be  moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8 - 10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama and off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts, (4 - 7) feet in off and along Rakhine Coasts.
