25-11-2025:According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Strait of Malacca almost stationary still persists. It is centered at about 285 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 55 Nautical miles West-Northwest of Penang(Malaysia), 250 Nautical miles East of Banda Aceh (Indonesia) and  465 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar(India).According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of South Sri Lanka still persists. It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and become Well Marked Lowe  pressure Area during next 24 hours and further intensify into a depression during next 48 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in (Northern and Eastern) Shan State, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Southern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Magway Region, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Bago Regions, Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Mon State and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing, Magway, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Hainggyigyun (8.51)inches, Thaton (5.79)inches, Yay (5.71) inches, Paung (5.12)inches, Coco Island (4.61)inches, Putao (3.74)inches, Hkamti (3.51)inches, Yangon (North Dagon) (2.28)inches, Myeik (2.20)inches, Minbu (2.09)inches, Chaungsone and Kyeikmayaw (2.05)inches each and Hpa-an (2.01)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 7th JULY, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, scattered in Magway Region, Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35- 40)m.p.h. Sea will be  moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8 - 12) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama and off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts, (4 - 7) feet in off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate monsoon.
