25-11-2025: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Strait of Malacca has intensified into a depression. It is centered at about 285 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 50 Nautical miles West-Northwest of Penang(Malaysia), 260 Nautical miles East of Banda Aceh (Indonesia) and  470 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar(India).According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over Extreme Southern parts of India, Comorin Area and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal and Sri Lanka now lies over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of South Sri Lanka. It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and become Well Marked Lowe  pressure Area during next 24 hours and further intensify into a depression during next 48 hours.    . Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Ayeyarwady Regions, Southern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Bago Region, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Maungdaw (8.46)inches, Myauk U (7.87)inches, Ann (5.43)inches, Kawkareik (5.24)inches, Thaton (5.08)inches, Hpapun (4.92)inches, Shwegwin (4.64)inches, Hpa-an (4.37)inches, Yay (4.21)inches, Shwekyin (3.66) inches, Paing Kyone (3.54)inches, Madauk (3.15)inches, Shan-Ywar-Thit (3.12)inches and Kyeikdon (3.04) inches.  

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 27th JULY, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Bago and Yangon Regions.
