28-11-2025:According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the Strait of Malacca has moved Eastwards and downgraded into Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Malaysia. It is likely continue to move Eastwards and gradually weaken during next 12 hours. According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DATWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka Coast has moved Northwestwards and is crossing near Tricomalee(Srilanka). It is centered at about 805 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 240 Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry (India). It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and continue to cross eastern part of Sri Lanka Coast and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal and reached over the North Tamil Nadu and adjoining South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India.Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region, Northern Shan and Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Taninthayi Region and Rakhine State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Maungdaw (6.06)inches, Yay (5.63)inches, Paing Kyone (5.59)inches, Hpa-an (4.21)inches, Kamamaung (4.02)inches, Kawkareik (3.70)inches, Hlaingbwe (3.66)inches, Dawei (3.18) inches, Kyeikmayaw  (3.03)inches, Sittwe and Kawthaung (2.95)inches each.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 30th JULY, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Rakhine States.
