27-11-2025:According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “SENYAR” crossed in the interior of Indonesia has recurved and moved South-Southeast and now lies again over Northeast of Indonesia and adjoining the Strait of Malacca. It is centered at about 360 Nautical miles South of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 140 Nautical miles Southwest of Penang(Malaysia), 50 Nautical miles Southeast of Kuta Makmur(Indonesia) and  460 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar (India). According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Southeast Sri Lanka has further intensified into a Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Sri Lanka coast.  It is centered at about 800 Nautical miles South-Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 180 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Tricomalee(Srilanka), 395 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry(India). Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy and over the over the Andaman Sea and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather have been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region and Kayah State, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in (Northern and Southern) Shan and Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Hpa-an (3.94)inches, Kawkareik and Thaton (3.54)inches each, Launglon (3.50)inches, Paung (3.23)inches, Hkamti (3.20)inches, Putao (3.03)inches, Paing Kyone (2.64)inches, Myawaddy (2.56)inches and Dawei (2.09)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 5thAUGUST, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Northern Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Southern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Taninthayi Region, Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States.
