27-11-2025:According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “SENYAR” over Northeast of Indonesia and adjoining the Strait of Malacca has moved East-Southeast and downgraded into a Deep Depression. It is centered at about 380 Nautical miles South of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 120 Nautical miles South-Southwest of Penang(Malaysia), 150 Nautical miles Southeast of Kuta Makmur(Indonesia) and  495 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar (India). It is likely continue to move Eastwards and weaken into a depression during next 12 hours. According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka Coast has moved North-Northwest and intensified into a Deep Depression.  It is centered at about 800 Nautical miles South-Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 150 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Tricomalee(Srilanka), 370 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry(India). It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and further intensify into a Cyclonic Storm during next 12 hours. Thereafter, it is likely continue to move North-Northwestwards and towards North Tamil Nadu and adjoining South Andhra Pradesh coasts. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and Kayah State, scattered in Lower Sagaing Region, fairly widespread in Bago Region, Kachin and Eastern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Mon State and isolated  heavy falls in Mandalay Region and Kachin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Mudon (6.85)inches, Paung (5.31)inches, Mawlamyine (5.20)inches, Kyeikmayaw (4.45)inches, Chaungsone (4.33)inches, Putao (3.58)inches, Thaton (3.31)inches, Shan-Ywar-Thit (2.96) inches, Kawkareik (2.80)inches, Paing kyone (2.76)inches and Singu (2.60)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10thAUGUST, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Mon State and isolated heavy falls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin State. STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-9)feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (5 -7)feet in off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Taninthayi Region, Shan, Kayin and Mon States.
