19-2-2026 According to the observations at 15:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure over the Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move west–northwestwards towards Sri Lanka and further intensify over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Equatorial Indian Ocean during next 24 hours. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and over the South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
EARTHQUAKE NEWS
A very strong earthquake of magnitude (8.0) Richter Scale with its epicenter outside Myanmar (Fiji Islands Region), latitude 18.100°S, longitude 178.000°W, depth (570)kilometers about (6320) miles southeast of Kaba-Aye seismological observatory was recorded at (06)hr (49)min (40)sec M.S.T on 19th August, 2018.
