23-11-2025: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Strait of Malacca still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and intensify into a depression over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Andaman Sea on 24-11-2025. Thereafter, it is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards and further intensify into a Cyclonic Storm over the Southeast Bay during subsequent 48 hours.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak to moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 4th September, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions , Kachin ,Shan and Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-10)feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (5 -7)feet in off and along Rakhine Coasts.
