25-11-2025:According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Strait of Malacca almost stationary still persists. It is centered at about 285 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 55 Nautical miles West-Northwest of Penang(Malaysia), 250 Nautical miles East of Banda Aceh (Indonesia) and  465 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar(India).According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of South Sri Lanka still persists. It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and become Well Marked Lowe  pressure Area during next 24 hours and further intensify into a depression during next 48 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19th September, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in  lower-Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Chin and Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper- Sagaing, Kachin and Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls inMandalay, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States. STATE OF THE SEA:  Squalls with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (9-12)feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (4-7)feet in off and along Rakhine Coasts.
